Health Requirements

Pre-Entry Health Testing

All bulls that enter KABSU to stay are required to complete Pre-Entry Health Testing. This testing includes:

• Tuberculosis: caudal fold test
• Brucellosis: BAPA
• Leptospirosis: MAT5
• Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV): PCR
• Trichomoniasis: PCR

***If these tests are not complete upon arrival, KABSU will perform the testing through the KSU Diagnostic Lab***

 

If owners wish to have their bull tested for CSS or Export collections, please notify KABSU staff prior to the animals arrival on site.

 

KABSU follows the guidelines set by the National Association of Animal Breeders in the

CSS Minimum Requirements for Disease Control of Semen Produced for AI.
