Pigeons - Peafowl - Guineas

1. What should peafowl be fed?
Turkey feed or game bird feed is recommended for peafowl. Chicken feed will not harm the birds, but will not give as good results as turkey feed because of its lower protein content.

2. How can you determine the sex of guineas?
Usually the male has a larger helmet and wattles and a coarser head than the female. The female’s cry sounds like "buckwheat, buckwheat" or "put-rock, put-rock".
