Wool Judging Team

A Wool Judging Team is annually selected from the students enrolled in ASI 385, Wool Grading and Evaluation. The one hour credit class, taught in the fall semester, meets on Mondays from 6:30 - 9:20 p.m. All classifications of students are welcome to participate.

The team competes in up to three Intercollegiate Wool Judging Contests each year: the National Western, Denver, CO in January; The San Antonio Livestock Show, in San Antonio, TX and the Houston Livestock Show, Houston, TX in March. Additional workouts in preparation for contests are conducted at wool warehouses, University of Wyoming, Colorado State University, Angelo State University and Texas A&M University.
